Hello Deichman's! Thanks for the call to check on Zachary. He has had a couple of bad days but is now quickly on the mend. Tell Jarrett that Jared, Kyle and Zach went to see the fire trucks today at Mr. Hawkin's station. Looks like he will have some great memories to share with the boys when he gets back. Be safe and make sure you ask for any and all gravy to put on your food along the way back home! The Westfall's

Carol and I will take a similar trip (a circular tour of the US w/ planned stops along the way) and will seek your recommendations upon your return. Have never been out west exploring (only to NTC and Vegas). My guess is your return trip begins ib 1-4 days and then the worn out factor will kick in. Enjoy the time while you can! I just checked out the latest pics before starting another 12 hour study session. (Any sympathy yet?) The trip looks fantastic - I know you are having an unforgettable experience. The kids will always look back and fondly ask -"Remember when Mom and Dad drug us all the way to Alaska and then made us sleep outside?" If you think about it pray for me on the 27th and 28th - I need prayers from the 4 corners to get through this one! Much love to you all and cant wait to see you when you get back. Shane, thanks for the blog - I look forward everyday to catching up with you guys. Decaffienatedly yours, Heather, Dale and Arielle

Greetings eh!! We just got home to Florida from our 4000+ mile east coast road trip. All the way to Maine (yes we have a few lobster!!) and even a brief jaunt into Canada. Thanks for the accomodations in Cheasapeake on our journey north (the visit was all too brief). We look forward to seeing you again soon. Enjoy the remainder of your excursion. Jim, Su and Jake P.S. I am mentally preparing (physical prep to begin sooner or later) for the AT commencing this spring. Time to find a pair of hiking boots :0) P.P.S. "AT" = Appalacian Trail.

Hey, are you any relations to the Deichmans from around Springfield, IL. My grandfather come from Germany thru Staten Island and spoke no English. His name was Edward Deichman. Nice website, please write back if ya have any info about are name. All I know, is that I think our name used to be Teichman and later changed to Deichman. THX

Hi Kids, So glad you have your Web site so I can keep up to your family. You have the most beautiful kids!! Sounds like you are doing great. Kirk has sent some photos of things like the Christening. Looks like the kids keep you busy. All 3 girls are busy with their families. Cris has her jewelry business where she makes and sell earrings and bracelets at art fairs and craft shows. She loves it and does quite well. Brenda has Peter in soccer, hockey and several other activities. Looks like he will be an "outdoors man" like his dad. Lori and Cary have moved to Brainard. They wanted to live on a lake. Drop a line when you have time. Would love to hear from you.

Shane and Renee, The kids are adorable. Looks like things are going well for all of you. We can't believe you drove over 4000 miles with two kids!!! Let alone one that was teething. We haven't been further than two hours away from home in the car with ours. You two are either nuts, or the most patient parents in the world! What a trip. It must have been a great experience. Continued good health to all of you. Take Care, C,C,K&A
